Bozeman's Country Bookshelf is so beautiful. I was lucky to have many friends and former workshop participants attend. I also got to wear my new purple pants and had my hair fixed up by Trevor at Theory salon. Then I went to Macy's and had Gretchen do a light makeup. Then I was struck by inspiration and asked my neighbor, Alexis Pike, who teaches photography at MSU, to take a photo of me with my short hair. She obliged and brought over a light reflector and in 10 minutes turned out the best pix of me yet. Thanks, Alexis. Read More

Now available as a paperback or ebook...
Published by Magic Circle Press
This book enables readers to confidently choose the right path when up against many choices in their lives. It provides exercises on relationships, work, and health that uncover the spiritual wisdom rooted in the individual’s soul. It offers both inspiration and memoir.
Everyone has difficulties — some inordinately hard — but all essential to their fate. We struggle in relationships, work, health, and with how to live meaningfully. Sometimes we’re high, sometimes low, always in flux, but when we die to one way of life, we are reborn into another. This book aims at helping you find renewal and transcendence after life delivers a blow.
Find the meaning of your life within you, not out there somewhere, by using the techniques that have aided me and others for decades. If you are confused about what your next steps are and you try these exercises, they will give you fresh courage and insights to bring into your life…and world.
Contents cover the essence of timing, dialogue guidelines, examples from the author’s life and others’, dreams, death, and evocative rebirth symbols and myths.

Progoff's Intensive Journal Method

My take on the Intensive Journal Method
The structure and theory behind it were developed by therapist, Ira Progoff, in the late 1960s as a non-judgmental, psychological, and spiritual tool that people could use on their own. Far more dynamic than ordinary diary-keeping, the Journal method is “one of the unique inventions of our time,” Joseph Campbell said.
I agree. It works, and I wish everyone would benefit from it as I have for the past four decades. Read More

Trip to Morocco
June 3, 2013
I went to Morocco because I’d loved the way Anais Nin described it in her diary and I’d loved The Arabian Nights as a child, and later the 19th c. adventurous heroines (such as Isabel Burton) described in The Wilder Shores of Love seemed intrepid in their venturing into the mysterious Arab world. Anais was only in Fez for a short time. She focused on the “hammams” (baths), talking to the women about their cosmetics. Her distaste for their ample, ample flesh is palpable but then she was petite and slender. She found in the densely winding corridors of the “medina” a metaphor for the labyrinths of the mind. (I met a man who said she had Berber blood).

the "square"

I have a brand new "Square" that I'd give someone who reads this blog. It works very well with a smartphone in enabling your clients or customers to use a credit card. I already have one so can't use this one.
